Drawing Approval Specialist MEP
Description
Ability to efficiently submit required reports following management standards, rules, and regulations.Participate in special projects and activities to support organizational success.Contribute to project validation and qualification, including preparing and executing validation and verification protocols for various regulators.Maintain and apply knowledge of relevant engineering legislation, building codes, and standards applicable to projects.Act as originator (or checker) and approver (where necessary) for all HVAC engineering deliverables, such as philosophies, specifications, datasheets, calculations, studies, reports, VDRFS, etc., ensuring adherence to operational procedures.Collaborate with engineers, designers, and supervisors to support engineering project delivery.Review system drawings, Basis of Design (BOD), Project Execution Plan (PEP), and client data.Perform HVAC equipment sizing appropriate to project stage to meet requirements.Ensure equipment compliance with electrical, structural, instrument specifications, and applicable standards.Prepare enquiry requisitions as needed.Conduct Criticality Ratings for equipment packages.Evaluate bids, prepare technical bid evaluations, and contribute to joint purchase recommendations.Report weekly on work status, issues, and needs.Support vendor visits and inspections.Review contractor installation and commissioning for compliance during site visits.Ensure drawings comply with authority standards, regulations, and safety requirements, and are approved by authorized personnel.Review retail fit-out drawings for compliance with licensing activities.Coordinate submissions with approval authorities and ensure all documentation meets their requirements.Conduct site inspections to verify the availability of retail space, base building services, and other technical services, resolving issues with clients and contractors.Ensure all documents and drawings are prepared for regulatory review and approval, including legal verification processes.Ensure all NOCS, COCS, and completion certificates are accurate and issued correctly.Coordinate inspection schedules and ensure proper documentation and communication with clients and contractors.Maintain fit-out reports, organize documentation, and ensure proper record-keeping.Manage contact details for retail owners, tenants, and contractors.Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management review and look for opportunities to improve reporting procedures.Act as discipline checker and approver for all HVAC design documentation where necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
