A fast growing fashion brand is seeking a talented and experienced Merchandising Director to join their dynamic team. As the Merchandising Director, you will play a vital role in driving our brand's success through effective merchandise planning, assortment optimization, and strategic decision-making. THIS POSITION WILL INVOLVE RELOCATION TO SAUDI ARABIA.Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive merchandising strategies that align with the brand's objectives and financial targets.Oversee the entire merchandise planning process, including assortment planning, inventory management, and pricing strategies.Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and make data-driven decisions.Collaborate closely with design, production, and sales teams to ensure seamless coordination and alignment across all departments.Manage the buying process, including vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management to optimize costs and maintain quality standards.Conduct regular sales and inventory analysis to monitor performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend actionable strategies.Lead a team of merchandising professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, such as suppliers, retailers, and industry professionals, to stay informed about market dynamics and capitalize on emerging trends.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Merchandising Director or in a similar leadership role within the fashion industry.In-depth knowledge of merchandise planning, buying, and assortment optimization.Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights.Exceptional strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in merchandising software and Microsoft Office Suite.To find out more about this position, please send us a copy of your CV and one of our team will be in touch.
