To support in managing the Qatar Foundation Art collections, activate assets through Art activities and manage Art related contracts Key Result Areas:

  • Lead the Art strategy development and implementation, input into budget preparation, and policy & procedure development
  • Oversee loan agreements, logistics of collection transportation, risk assessment, condition reporting, and ensuring maintenance of display conditions
  • Develop internship & volunteer programs, identify key roles and outcomes, create policies and procedures, and oversee & manage the interns
  • Support the development of content around the collection/assets to support curriculum design inputs, as well as supporting / advising on the use of / appropriateness of items from the collection / assets to be used for conferences, workshop programs, marketing etc.
  • Support in the delivery of art exhibitions: coordination with different suppliers on exhibition logistics, develop necessary agreement documents, supervise installation/ de-installation etc.
  • Support the development of the research program, access & outcomes, supporting researchers, delivering research best practice workshops, and creating the research protocol
  • Oversee the collection and public art digitization project
  • Oversee outsourced contractors / consultants, to create the annual collection care, conservation program and cleaning priorities
  • Deliver Art Trails tours for visitors
  • Other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisor
  • Bachelor’s degree in fine arts, applied arts, art management (MA) or a related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant full-time work experience in department of a museum, large gallery, arts space, etc.
  • Outstanding planning, time management, and content knowledge i.e. Contemporary Art history, public art policies and strategies, art commissioning, regional art.
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft and edit a variety of written reports and communications and to articulate ideas clearly and concisely; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications
