NES Global Talent is looking for a Flow Assurance Specialist for our major oil and gas client in Qatar Â to work alongside the Head of Subsea Pipeline. Â  You will be required to advice, guide and provide solutions of operational flow assurance, offshore production chemistry and chemical requirements in the field of pipeline and topside operations, pipeline inspection and maintenance, flow restrictions, wells operation and start-up, scale deposition, and hydrate management, including deficiency analysis to ensure safe, reliable and efficient offshore wellheads and pipelines operations. Â  Job Responsibilities

  • Advise on pipelines operational issues and challenges including planned/unplanned shutdowns, ramp-down and ramp-up rates, routine guidance on pipeline gas flow profiles based on onshore demand and by providing a 24x7 operational on-call support.
  • Provide pipeline and wells operational support in the development and improvement of operational procedures, which ensure validity, per industry best practices. This includes the integration of newly installed pipelines from Major Project expansion.
  • Advise the Pipelines Flow Assurance Engineering team with the operational data and the operability analysis to performed necessary FA studies in support of the development and/or understanding of existing pipelines and new major projects including NFPS & NFE.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all steps and inputs required to develop pigging flow profiles for all company subsea pipelines.
  • Coordinate and execute all field activities to ensure hydrate mitigation systems are in place, including daily operational surveillance, troubleshooting, MEG optimization, whilst ensuring compliance and close-out of Winter Preparedness Checklists across multiple assets (onshore, offshore, offsite) prior to start of winter season.
Qualifications and Experience Â 
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Pipelines Engineering.
  • Qualification in Pipelines Flow Assurance
  • 8 years' experience in Oil & Gas sector with 5 years working experience with a focus on Pipelines Flow Assurance.
  • Knowledge of risk-based integrity management methods with a strong understanding of Process Safety concepts.
  • Knowledge of industry analysis tools and software (PIPESIM, OLGA, HYSYS or PRO II, PVTSIM, etc.).
  • Thorough understanding and knowledge of SHE Standards as they relate to the Oil & Gas Industry and Environment.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to flow assurance and pipeline integrity and operation.
Technical and Business Skills
  • Effective communications in written and spoken English.
  • Full understanding of Process Safety concepts and elements.
  • High degree of flexibility, ability to demonstrate conceptual thinking skills and attention to detail.
  • Computer literate with knowledge of engineering software tools
