Job Description: The Deputy Editor of Finance Middle East plays a critical role in shaping the magazines editorial direction ensuring the highest standards of content quality and contributing to the growth and success of the publication. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual with a deep passion for finance exceptional writing and editing skills and a strong grasp of digital media strategies. Responsibilities:
  • Produce highquality engaging and informative digital content including articles news updates features and multimedia content relevant to the defence and security sector in the Middle East.
  • Implement effective SEO strategies to improve the visibility and ranking of our content on search engines ensuring that our content reaches a wider audience.
  • Monitor website performance using Google Analytics analyse user behaviour and make datadriven decisions to enhance user engagement and drive traffic growth.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Middle Easts finance landscape industry trends and key players in the region.
  • If you have experience with content paywalls or subscriptionbased models it will be a valuable asset in this role as we explore revenue diversification strategies.
  • Work closely with the editorial team to coordinate content planning align content with editorial goals and ensure consistency in messaging and style.
  • Develop and execute strategies to increase audience engagement including social media promotion email marketing and other digital channels.
  • Optimise content distribution channels and partnerships to expand our reach and grow our digital audience.
  • Collaborate closely with the Editor to define and execute the magazines editorial vision.
  • Research write and edit compelling and informative articles features and news pieces related to the finance industry.
  • Stay updated on the latest industry trends news and developments and ensure that Finance Middle East remains at the forefront of finance journalism.
  • Manage and coordinate the work of a team of writers and contributors providing guidance feedback and editing support.
  • Collaborate with the digital and social media teams to promote magazine content across various platforms.
  • Participate in editorial meetings brainstorming sessions and other collaborative efforts to develop fresh and engaging content ideas.
  • Ensure the highest editorial standards accuracy and adherence to Finance Middle Easts editorial guidelines.
  • Attend industry events conferences and interviews with key industry figures as needed.
  • Contribute to special projects supplements and initiatives as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in journalism communications or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years of professional editorial experience preferably in finance or a related industry.
  • Indepth knowledge of the finance industry including key players trends and developments.
  • Strong writing editing and proofreading skills with impeccable attention to detail.
