Job Description

Why Work with Us? Performics strategizes and provides digital activation services for global advertisers in over 57+ markets around the world with the aim to deliver the optimal outcome. Our Performance Centre of Excellence drives performance solutions across several channels including search, experience design, social, commerce and affiliates. We have 30 different nationalities in our teams and work closely with teams from Google, Meta, Trade Desk and Amazon to deliver innovative solutions that helps deliver business results to our clients. The Role: The Head of Search will head our search capability across paid, generative, voice and beyond. They will need to deliver and support on our regional objectives including solutions, commercials, product, talent, operational excellence, community and thought leadership. The Head of Search will work with multiple markets and internal units within Publicis Media to define, enhance, and commercialize our Search solutions and offerings and will develop our cross-channel strategy in close partnership with the other capability leaders on Experience Design, Social, Commerce and Affiliates. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in search, with a deep understanding of the various technology platforms and the evolving search landscape, and a proven ability to identify and leverage search opportunities to maximize revenue and performance. Key Accountability: Lead and shape our regional Search capability in a fast-paced developing industry. By truly understanding the industry landscape and developments, and our evolving client needs, you will define leading innovative search solutions enabled by technology and enriched by talent to help our clients and our business grow.
  • Commercialization and Revenue Growth:
    • Identify, develop, and commercialize new regional search offerings. Drive revenue growth by improving existing offerings, exploring untapped opportunities, and leveraging data-driven insights.
  • Market and Internal Collaboration:
    • Work closely with our agencies, markets and client leads to understand their unique challenges and opportunities. Use these insights to customize our search solutions and ensure their successful implementation.
    • Work with the partnerships team to ensure we have the right priorities that serves the wider organization.
  • Solutions:
    • Partner with our regional head of product and operations as well as our global performance product leads to shape our capabilities into client-centric solutions by integrating and packaging our search capability.
    • Shape our E2E point search POV from the intersection of search and AI to retail search, experience design, paid and voice.
    • Represents our search capability in key regional pitches and across key clients.
    • Help scale our search media products internationally.
  • Product: Inform our various product teams with the required tools and products to deliver best-in-class search services. Takes a leading role in the assessment and consultancy on suitable search platforms & partnerships that can elevate our product offering.
  • Operational excellence : Defines what good looks like by partnering with our regional head of product and operations on the representation of search in campaign processes to deliver the required quality.
  • Talent: Lead the translation of the search capability to our wider Performance Talent organization including required capabilities, training, and certification of search roles by level. Supports our talent recruitment and retention of search talent.
  • Community & thought leadership: You are our Regional Search thought leader who will represent our search capability and facilitate information and resource sharing (case studies, interesting articles) within our regional teams and in the Global Performance Media Community.

  • Deliver on the commercial targets in collaboration with agency client and performance leads.
  • Improve conversion in new business pitches and ensure great feedback on our search story.
  • Improve our search media story on key accounts while working with the client leads.
The Criteria
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the digital media industry, with a focus on search advertising.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role is required, with demonstrated success in managing cross-functional teams and initiatives in a matrixed organization.
  • Proven track record in driving revenue growth through the development and commercialization of new offerings. Strong business sense and industry knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across various levels of the organization.
  • Large scale Experience: Experience working in or managing large scale initiatives, with an understanding of cultural nuances and market-specific challenges.
  • Updated required tech partner certifications in Search and Analytics.
  • Excellent collaborator; likes and is successful in working in a matrixed organization and together with leadership.
  • Excellent communicator; is able and confident to represent our search capability to internal (Performance Media Community, internal leadership, regional and global new business teams)- and external stakeholders (clients, media partnerships).

Qualifications

  • An advanced degree such as a master’s degree or MBA.
  • Proven track record on thought leadership; participated in panels, published articles etc.
