Position: Hook Up Manager - Brownfield Projects in FPSO

Start Date: ASAP

Department: Offshore Hook Up

Reports To: Area Head of Department

Location: Abu Dhabi, Office-based with the willingness to travel and stay offshore as required.

Purpose of the Position:

The Hook Up Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, and completion of hook up and integration activities for Brownfield projects in FPSOs. This role is crucial in ensuring all activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards, while meeting project timelines and budget.

Key Responsibilities:

Safety Management: Ensure all hook up activities strictly adhere to safety policies and procedures, promoting a safety culture among the workforce.

Planning and Coordination: Develop and implement detailed plans for hook up activities, ensuring alignment with the overall project objectives. Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure maximum efficiency.

Brownfield Projects Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge and experience in Brownfield projects in FPSOs to navigate the complexities associated with integrating new systems with existing infrastructures, minimizing disruptions.

Resource Management: Optimize the use of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, ensuring availability when needed and managing project logistics effectively.

Quality Control: Oversee the execution of hook up activities to ensure compliance with quality standards and project technical specifications.

Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communications with all project stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and internal teams, to ensure transparency and alignment.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues or deviations from the project plan promptly, applying appropriate corrective measures.

Reporting: Regularly prepare and present reports on progress, safety performance, and resource management to the project manager and other stakeholders.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience of at least 10 years in management roles in the offshore sector, with specific experience in Brownfield projects in FPSOs.
  • Strong knowledge of safety practices, processes, and standards in the offshore industry.
  • Leadership ability, with excellent communication and team management skills.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
