OVERALL PURPOSE IT Operation Infrastructure Director is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing IT Operation Infrastructure in NWC. This role manages critical aspects of the NWC’s infrastructure landscape including managing database, storage, data center management, and cloud COE, ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure. The role is responsible for managing a staff of database manager, data center expert and professionals for data center and cloud. The Director is also accountable to monitor the department’s performance and ensure that the projects are completed on time and the budget is managed efficiently. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Managerial Responsibilities ·Participates in the development and implementation of the department's strategy, objectives, and KPIs. Communicates and promotes the department's strategy across all relevant stakeholders. ·Participates in the development and implementation of the department's policies and procedures. ·Contributes to the planning of the department's annual budget and optimizes the use of the budget. ·Monitor staff achievements, perform periodic performance appraisals, and provide guidance or coaching to direct reports in performing their delegated duties. Functional Responsibilities ·Accountable to define, communicate and monitor the Infrastructure Design, Development & Maintenance department's budget, ensuring efficient cost allocation and financial alignment. ·Accountable to develop and execute strategic plans for Infrastructure management, and cloud operations. ·Oversee the collaboration with the EA department (Infrastructure architects) to ensure that the infrastructure architecture follows the architectural principles and guidelines.

  • Accountable for managing the database by maintaining the database, DB administration and storage solutions to ensure high availability, data integrity, and efficient performance of databases.
  • Accountable to plan for capacity and scalability of database, taking into account NWC’s future growth requirements.
  • Oversee the operations and management of the NWC data centers to ensure reliability, availability and performance.
  • Oversee the collaboration with the DR & technology business continuity team to implement the disaster recovery and business continuity plans and ensure system reliability.
  • Accountable for managing the hardware provisioning, maintenance and lifecycle management.
  • Accountable for collaboration with vendor management & partner incubation team for managing contracts, performance and SLAs.
  • Accountable for managing NWC’s cloud infrastructure strategy, including provisioning, migration, and ongoing management.
  • Accountable to monitor the performance of the department, identifying areas for improvement, and proposing solutions to enhance the department’s efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide guidance and support to team members to resolve their issues and enhance their technical skills and professional growth.
  • Carry out any other tasks requested by the direct manager or the superior that are within the limits of the job, provided that this task does not make a fundamental difference in the basic tasks of the job.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Minimum Qualifications: ·Master’s (preferred) or bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Minimum Experience: ·Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership or managerial position managing database and cloud platforms. ·Expertise in database management systems, storage solutions, infrastructure architecture, and cloud technologies. ·Strong understanding of incident management, problem resolution and data center best practices. ·Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Core Competencies: · Technical Knowledge – Application knowledge, security knowledge and IP networking. · Cloud – Cloud migration, cloud engineering and cloud operations & maintenance. · Design – Requirements gathering, technical architecture, application architecture and solution design. · Technology Services – Network engineering, storage engineering, system engineering, disaster recovery/business continuity, technical testing tools and end-user support. · IT Planning & Management – Infrastructure planning, regulatory compliance, business continuity & disaster recovery planning and business case creation & tracking. · IT Service Management – Service level management, change management, configuration management and release management. · Project Management – Project governance & reporting, project tracking, project estimation & planning and risk management. · Business Technology & Strategy – Business needs analysis & strategy and technology strategy. · Business Acumen – Business planning. · Industry Knowledge – Business functional knowledge and technology trends.
