Overview

We are seeking an Operational Technical Advisor to join the Southern Area Well Completion Operations Department.

The Southern Area Well Completion Operations Department is responsible for performing rigless well completion activities and well interventions in the Southern Area fields covering wireline, testing, coiled tubing and hydraulic fracturing operations. Part of the department activities as well includes pursuing operational excellence elements/processes while maintaining solid financial status through cost-effective execution.

The Operational Technical Advisor primary role is to provide technical assurance and support for well completion & intervention activities operated by the department from conceptual design to operational execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

The candidate will be required to perform the following:

Assess financial, planning and operational proposals from concept designing until final implementation phase, and provide feedback accordingly.

Benchmark with leading organizations in the oil & gas industry and adapt global best practices into the department business.

Maintain up-to-date governing references within the department pertaining operational excellence, financial plans and standard operational procedures.

Provide technical feedback, recommendations and decisions on proposed operational plans to be executed in field.

Assess risk assessment and management of change associated with any critical and/or newly proposed operational procedures.

Support operation workforce for field execution and/or during encountered operational complications.

Advise and share expertise with the department workforce through knowledge sharing sessions and focused training.

Provide input and feedback as the focal point of contact for the department submissions as per business requirements.

Minimum Requirements

A successful candidate, you will hold a minimum of Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized and approved program/institute. An advanced degree is preferred.

The candidate will have an extensive experience in the Oil & Gas rigless operations, including at least ten years of experience in drilling or well completion/interventions field.

The candidate will have the ability to deliver high level reporting & presentations covering engineering analysis, technical demonstration and reasoning for decision making.

Engineering sense, critical strategic thinking and risk management capabilities are required for this position.
