Secondary Chemistry Teacher Location: Ras Al Kaimah, UAE Start date: January 2025 Curriculum: UK & IB Salary: Fixed at 15,000 AED including accommodation allowance Experience: 1 year minimum required Contract: 2 or 3 years This is a co-educational school and one of the oldest and largest schools in the UAE, serving over 3,200 students from 97 different nationalities from Pre KG up to Grade 12. Founded in 1975 with its core value being "learning excellence with a community heart", the school follows either the UK curriculum or the IB curriculum. This vacancy is in their International British curriculum school, which offers UK curriculum from Grade 6 to Grade 12 and IBDP in grades 11 and 12. Location Overview: The school is centrally located in Khuzam in the northernmost emirate of the UAE (Ras Al Kaimah), close to the coast. This location suits those looking for a slightly quieter pace of life and who enjoy outdoor beach and mountain activities. There is a large expat community nearby (most reside in Al Hamra). You'll find hotels, restaurants, and large malls, with Dubai just one hour away. Requirements:
- Experience of UK curriculum preferred but not essential
- Minimum one year experience preferred
- You must have a first degree in your teaching subject
- Previous EAL teaching experience preferred
- Applicants who have taught internationally are especially welcome to apply
- Highly proficient in the use of technology to support teaching and learning
- Fixed 15,000 AED tax-free salary (includes accommodation allowance)
