To provide patient support for hemodynamicinstability (hypertension/hypotension), airway or respiratorycompromise (such as ventilator support), acute renal failure,potentially lethal cardiac dysrhythmias, and frequently thecumulative effects of multiple organ systemfailure.Conducts rounds and undertakessupervision of treatment of the inpatients as well as screening andexamination of the outpatients.Organizing,monitoring, and maintaining the clinical services provided withinthe department in order to achieve the highest possible level ofpatient care with optimum utilization of the availableresources.Assumes direct responsibility for thepatients under his/her medical attendance in the assignedunit.Participates in the various committees forthe upgrading of services and organization of work within andoutside the hospital.Actively participate in theplanning and implementation of the department development plans andthe different manpower training programs for the medical, technicaland nursing staff in his/her area ofexpertise.Participates in scheduling of on-callduties and provides on-callservices.Participates in the assessment andupdating of drug, medical supply and equipmentneeds.Writes, completes and approves medicalreports for patients.Participates in researchactivities.Performs special procedures asprivileged.Adheres to policies, guidelines,plans and programs of the organization.Performsother duties as assigned/directed by the Head of the department andapproved by the management.
