Driven to create unique home-grown food concepts that bring people together, the Independent Food Company is a UAE-based hospitality company with multiple concepts under its umbrella – SALT, Switch, Parker’s, Grind, Somewhere and Public. We are currently seeking to hire an experienced Employee Relation Coordinator.

Responsibilities are:

  1. Employee Relations Support: Provide administrative support for employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and employee inquiries, while maintaining confidentiality.
  2. Coordination of HR Activities: Provide logistical and administrative support for performance review cycles (e.g., templates, scheduling). Assist in organizing employee engagement activities (e.g., venue booking, participation tracking). Follow up on assigned tasks, maintain trackers, and prepare reports for senior HR personnel.
  3. Confidentiality & Integrity: Handle confidential information with discretion, ensuring that all employee data, investigations, and sensitive issues are kept secure and private.
  4. Policy Implementation & Awareness: Support the HR team in implementing and communicating HR policies to ensure consistency and understanding across the organization.
  5. Track Disciplinary Actions: Monitor and document all employee disciplinary actions, including issuing warnings, managing suspension cases, and recording terminations.
  6. Investigation Tracker: Maintain a tracker for employee investigations, ensuring timely follow-up, accurate documentation, and compliance with company policies.
  7. Resignation & Exit Management: Record resignation data, assist in offboarding, conduct exit interviews, and ensure smooth transitions for departing employees.
  8. Compliance & Legal Adherence: Assist in verifying HR documents for compliance under the guidance of senior HR personnel. Help distribute and track acknowledgment of updated policies.
  9. Documentation & Filing: Prepare, organize, and store HR documents, ensuring they are accessible, up-to-date, and compliant with legal requirements.
  10. Escalate Employee Grievances: Identify and escalate unresolved employee grievances to management or senior HR personnel for further investigation and resolution.
  11. Employee Reward Record Keeping: Keep records of all employee engagement initiatives, such as teambuilding events, employee rewards & prepare certificates to roll out to outlets.
  12. Conflict Resolution: Assist with documentation and initial fact-finding for grievances. Coordinate meetings between employees and senior HR personnel for resolution. Prepare escalation summaries and ensure proper documentation for senior review.
