Role Title : Fashion & Beauty Category Manager Department : Commercial Location : Dubai Reports to : Head of Marketplace Position Overview The Fashion & Beauty Category Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow the Fashion & Beauty category on Tradeling's platform. This role involves managing relationships with suppliers, optimizing product offerings, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of the Fashion & Beauty sector, strong negotiation skills, and a data-driven approach to category growth. Key Responsibilities
  1. Category Strategy & Growth:
    • Develop and implement strategies to expand the Fashion & Beauty category in alignment with company goals.
    • Identify market trends and consumer demands to curate relevant product offerings.
  2. Supplier & Vendor Management:
    • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring a diverse and competitive product range.
    • Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional campaigns to maximize category performance.
    • Monitor supplier performance and collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues.
  3. Product & Customer Experience:
    • Ensure high-quality, competitive product offerings with optimal pricing.
    • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create compelling campaigns and improve the customer shopping experience.
  4. Data-Driven Insights & Reporting:
    • Analyze sales, market trends, and KPIs to identify opportunities for growth.
    • Use insights to refine strategies and optimize product listings for higher conversion rates.
  5. Industry Knowledge & Compliance:
    • Stay updated on the latest industry trends, regulations, and market shifts within the Fashion & Beauty sector.
    • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure all products comply with regional trade regulations.
  6. Brand Representation:
    • Represent Tradeling at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to attract new suppliers and enhance brand presence.
Requirements Hard Skills:
  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field.
  2. 5+ years of experience in category management, product sourcing, or merchandising within the Fashion & Beauty sector.
  3. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in tools like Excel, Tableau, or CRM platforms.
  4. Knowledge of e-commerce platforms, product pricing strategies, and market dynamics within the Fashion & Beauty category.
Soft Skills:
  1. Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  2. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
  3. Creative problem-solving and the ability to adapt to fast-changing market trends.
