Major Accountabilities:

  • Competitive Golf Tournament Operations: Oversee all operational aspects of golf tournaments, including scheduling, groupings, starting times, and scoring.
  • Referee Training and Preparation: Develop comprehensive training programs for referees, ensuring deep knowledge of golf rules and the ability to make fair decisions.
  • Golf Course Ratings: Coordinate with course superintendents and professionals to ensure courses are properly rated and prepared for tournaments.
  • SGF Club Affiliation Program: Design and maintain a robust affiliation program to strengthen relationships with golf clubs across the Kingdom, enhancing their operational standards and aligning them with SGF’s strategic goals.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Design and implement strategies to boost the visibility and engagement of golf tournaments and affiliated clubs.
  • Committee and Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary contact for all golf tournament-related issues and club affiliation matters, ensuring effective communication and planning.
  • Budget and Resource Management: Manage the budget to ensure financial goals are met and resources are effectively allocated.
Arab Golf Federation Liaison: Serve as the technical liaison for the Arab Golf Federation, managing all technical aspects of golf in the region, and ensuring robust communication and collaboration between federations. Competencies:
  • Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and tournament software.
  • Knowledgeable in tournament operations and the Rules of Golf.
  • Effective in public relations, public speaking, and business communications.
  • Skilled in personnel management and volunteer coordination.
Self-motivated with a strong desire to promote and market events. Service and customer-focused attitude with effective interpersonal skills. Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in tournament operations and management.
  • Valid Tournament Administrators & Referees School Level 3 R&A with a passing Grade of 80 points and above (2020 and later).
Experience:
  • Proven track record in organizing and managing golf tournaments.
  • Experience in developing marketing and promotional strategies for sports events.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with various teams and manage large-scale events.
