OBJECTIVE:Support the establishment of the clients insurance industry team and action urgent mattersTASKS:Establish mandate of the team, define team composition (incl. roles, responsibilities etc.), and deliver defined project activities with regards to the local and regional insurance industryRESPONSIBILITIES:Client Consultation: Engage with insurance clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and requirements. Provide expert advice on various aspects of insurance operations, including underwriting, claims management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.Strategic Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive business strategies aligned with their goals and market dynamics. Identify opportunities for growth, diversification, and competitive advantage within the insurance industry.Process Optimization: Evaluate existing workflows, policies, and procedures to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to streamline operations, enhance productivity, and reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.Risk Management: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities to the client's business. Recommend risk mitigation strategies, insurance products, and risk transfer solutions to protect against financial losses and ensure business continuity.Market Analysis: Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitor activities to provide insights and recommendations to clients. Identify emerging opportunities and market gaps for innovative insurance products and services.Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of advancements in insurance technologies, data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. Provide guidance on leveraging technology solutions to enhance customer experience, streamline operations, and drive business growth.Training and Development: Conduct training sessions and workshops for insurance professionals to enhance their knowledge and skills in areas such as sales techniques, product knowledge, and customer service excellence.Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders. Act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to support clients in achieving their business objectives.QUALIFICATIONS:Professional background (#1 is mandatory, candidates with insurance industry background are preferred):Financial services: 5+ years of industry experience in the GCC (ideally in the insurance industry)Consulting: Past experience in consulting (of benefit)Required technical skillsDeep understanding of the insurance industry, its players and products within the Middle East (and ideally Qatar)Strong project management skills to independently define and execute activities and tasks in a project settingStrong senior management level communication and presentation skillsProven PowerPoint and excel modelling skillsExperience in setting up new teams in an organization (of benefit)VerticalTechnology
