Duties And Responsibilities Provides effective care in the circulating role during elective and emergency procedures by assisting patients, physicians, and scrub technicians, in a prioritized fashion, assuring that all needs are completely satisfied. Performs control room duties with a working knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures involved in the operation of physiologic monitoring, angiographic/fluoroscopic imaging and digital analysis. Acts as first assistant in the scrub role of diagnostic, interventional, and acute procedures. Maintains asepsis throughout the course of procedure. Responds quickly and appropriately in emergencies. Displays effective utilization of supplies and equipment. Follows-up in holding area after completion of procedures to facilitate quality patient care. Display consistent willingness to assist in other invasive functions and/or cross-train in multiple areas, i.e., Electrophysiology study. Participates in support functions related to Cath lab operations, i.e., digital archiving of studies, clerical, filing, supply distribution, patient transport, etc. Recognize the importance of such duties, which ultimately improves Cath lab efficiency, accomplishes departmental goals and enhances overall team performance. Exercises clear and concise communication throughout daily interactions. Communicates effectively with patients, physician, and co-workers. Monitors, coordinates and obtains maintenance services for equipment issues. In the course of providing the care for the patient , all Cath lab Techs will perform the following duties under the supervision of a physicianPerforms assessment to collect pertinent data Anticipates and recognize subtle changes in patient status Includes the patient, significant others and other health care providers in data collection. Implements interventions in a manner to maintain patient dignity, privacy and safety. Demonst rates skillful responses to patient, family and colleague needs based on the specific need and the particular context of the situation. Documents interventions and ongoing evaluation of patient response to intervention. Identifies variances to expected outcomes and intervenes to make system changes to optimize patient outcomes. Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job. Demonstrates compassionate communication skills while providing support and care to the patients as âthe patient is the center of our careâ.Job Requirements / Qualifications Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Cardiovascular or equivalently accredited Health program. Experience: 3 â 5 Yearsâ experience Language: Arabic & English Required Licenses: SCFHS , BLS , ACLS
