Overview

We are seeking SCADA Technician to work under SCADA and Automation Systems Maintenance Unit (SASMU)/Power Operation and Control Division (PO&CD). The job function is to perform day-to-day management, maintenance, troubleshooting and engineering activities on PSA/SCADA networks and systems according to company standards and GIs, with through understanding of network security, automation and SCADA systems functionality

Responsibilities

You will be required to perform the following:

Ensure the reliable and secure operation of the PSA/SCADA system infrastructure. Manage and maintain business continuity. Monitor PSA/SCADA networks for error-free and secure operation and acceptable performance.

Provide commissioning and startup support of electrical networks and systems.

Maintain awareness of SAES standards and SAEP procedures for Power system Automation and their latest versions.

Serve as the technical expert for power system or operating facility in the fields of networking and systems. Specify hardware, software and application functionality. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior. Function as a role model and promoter of safety practices at work. Perform work with little or no supervision.

Take a leading role in investigating, root-causing, and resolving availability, performance and security issues in the PSA/SCADA networks and systems and ensure that all problems are resolved in a timely manner.

Manage and maintain automation network firewalls between the Automation Network and the control centers and DMZ.

Oversee power systems cyber security program. Prevent, detect, and timely correct cyber security incidents and risks. Assess vulnerabilities and take actions to close security holes.

Define or provide guidance for function requirements and specifications, and perform hardware/software selections, final system specification and system design, integration and testing for specific projects

Participate in proof of concept demonstrations of new industrial networks technologies in the plant.

Education & Experience Requirements

As the successful candidate you must hold an a ssociate degree in Networks

You should have a minimum of 11 years' experience with practical knowledge and experience in maintenance methods and practices
