Overview

We are seeking a Field Machinist Technician to join our Ras Tanura Maintenance Department (RTMD)

RTMD are responsible for providing the required line maintenance of all refining and NGL rotating equipment in terms of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs.

Your primary role will be to diagnosis and repair of all types of rotating and mechanical equipment. This will include equipment installation, troubleshooting, disassembly, repair and reassembly, testing and equipment modification.

Key Responsibilities

As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:

Locate equipment faults and operating irregularities by making the necessary diagnostical tests, measurements and analyses. This may be done with equipment in place in the field or if necessary by stripping equipment down in the field or shop.

Determine the nature of repairs to be made and replacement parts required.

Perform necessary maintenance on assigned equipment, stripping down, replacing, or machining parts as required. Reassemble equipment, run operating tests to ensure satisfactory repair.

Perform required rotating equipment alignment by rim and face, reverse and laser machine.

Set, adjust and perform steam turbine over speed trip test.

Troubleshoot and repair all kinds of hydraulic, electric (mechanical side) and pneumatic valve actuators.

Minimum Requirements

You must hold an associate degree in mechanical engineering from a recognized and approved program. An advanced degree is preferred.

You should have a minimum of 8 years' experience. E quipment worked on should include all kinds of gas reciprocating and centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, vertical and horizontal pumps, manual and motor operated valves.

You must have a complete understanding and adherence of all work permit type requirements.

You must have a full understanding of all field mechanical principles of operation.

You should have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in the field of rotating equipment.
