• Functions primarily as acall-takertelecommunicator and is responsible for receiving,recording, andeffectively managing requests for Fire and EmergencyServicesresponses. • Dispatches emergencypersonnel to situationsrequiring criticalresponse. • Reads posted orders toascertainpersonnel requirements and notifies personnel of workassignmentsand changes in instructions by telephone orradio.• Posts assignment information on dispatchboard.• May issue regular and special equipmentto emergencypersonnel. • May contact emergencypersonnel to verifyassignmentlocations. • Perform other dutiesasassigned.
