Job Description This rolerequired candidate to permanently relocate at Dammam, Saudi Arabia. The Upstream segmentincludes crude oil, natural gas and natural gas liquids exploration,field development, and production. The Corporate segment offerssupporting services including human resources, finance, andinformation technology. The company was founded on May 29, 1933 and isheadquartered in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Radiation ProtectionConsultant to join our Environmental Protection Department. This roleis essential in guiding and improving our operations related toionizing radiation protection. As a key member of our team, you willcontribute your expertise in a dynamic and challenging environment. Responsibilities:- Provideconsultancy on all aspects of ionizing radiation protection pertinentto company operations.
- Monitor compliance in the use ofradiation sources and operations involving Naturally OccurringRadioactive Materials (NORM).
- Identify and implementinnovative technologies to enhance radiation protection.
- Review, approve, and monitor radiation protection procedures,encompassing both man-made and natural radiation sources.
- Conduct awareness and training sessions on radiationprotection issues.
- Develop methods and procedures for NORMwaste operations.
- Establish standards, procedures, andguidelines for man-made radiation sources and NORM operations.
- Engage in applied research for NORM handling and disposal.
- Assess potential risks related to workers' exposure anddisposal of NORM waste.
- Train and develop radiationprotection professionals within the company.
- This rolerequired candidate to permanently relocate at Dammam, Saudi Arabia.
- BSc in Health Physics or a related sciencediscipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in operationalradiation protection and health physics.
- Profound knowledgeof radiation detection and measurement, radiometric analysistechniques, international radiation protection standards, operationalradiation protection controls, radiation dosimetry regimes, andmanagement/control of NORM.
- Awareness of Non-IonizingRadiation Sources.
