The Siemens Tram Consortium (STC) is currently operating the flagship Tram system, called the Education City Tram (ECT) for Qatar Education City (QEC) in Doha/Qatar. The Education City Tram is the first low floor catenary-free tram system in the world. It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of super-capacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. Siemens requires a Training Expert who will be support the Training Manager in the development, planning, coordination, and delivery of all training for operations and maintenance staff and managing all training and assessment records and certification. What are my responsibilities? •Assist the Training Manager in maintaining and updating the O&M Training Management Plan & Competency Management Plan. •Carry out Training Needs Identification and Analysis by working with Department Managers to identify the specific training needs of O&M staff to complete O&M activities to the required standard. •Assist the Training Manger in maintaining the Training Matrix, ensuring that all required training, including training from 3rd party suppliers as identified by Department Managers, is included in the Matrix. •Develop internal operations and maintenance training courses (including refresher training) for safety critical roles based on suppliers’ manuals, industry standards, regulatory requirements and the standards laid out in the Training Management Plan. •Invigilate training assessments, ensuring the integrity of the assessment process is maintained. •Assist the Training Manager to evaluate training at Reaction, Immediate and Intermediate levels to establish the extent to which training meets business needs and improves performance and make recommendations for improvement based on evaluation results. •Assist the Training Manager to establish annual refresher training requirements for O&M staff. •Support the Training Manager during audits and investigations. •Assist the Training Manager to ensure that training materials are updated to reflect changes to O&M plans, procedures, guidelines, forms etc. •Manage and maintain training documentation, records and certificates and ensure that they are available for audit and when requested or as a result of an investigation. What do I need to qualify for this job? •Degree or diploma in education, human resources or equivalent would be an advantage •At least 8+ years of experience on an operational railway •At least 2+ years of experience conducting training activities on an operational railway •Minimum of 2 years of experience in driving tram •Must have held a road vehicle license for at least two (2) years issued by the State of Qatar •Work experience abroad with multicultural teams •Experience of working with and supporting multiple teams •Experience in working for railway organisations •Good command of spoken and written English language •Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools •Good analysis skills •Strong leadership ability What else do I need to know? It uses a Hybrid Energy System (HES) which incorporates a combination of super-capacitors and batteries to power the tram between charging locations along the line. </p><p> Siemens requires a Training Expert who will be support the Training Manager in the development, planning, coordination, and delivery of all training for operations and maintenance staff and managing all training and assessment records and certification. </p><p> What are my responsibilities? </p><p> •Assist the Training Manager in maintaining and updating the O&M Training Management Plan & Competency Management Plan. </p><p> •Carry out Training Needs Identification and Analysis by working with Department Managers to identify the specific training needs of O&M staff to complete O&M activities to the required standard. </p><p> •Assist the Training Manger in maintaining the Training Matrix, ensuring that all required training, including training from 3rd party suppliers as identified by Department Managers, is included in the Matrix. </p><p> •Develop internal operations and maintenance training courses (including refresher training) for safety critical roles based on suppliers’ manuals, industry standards, regulatory requirements and the standards laid out in the Training Management Plan. </p><p> •Invigilate training assessments, ensuring the integrity of the assessment process is maintained. </p><p> •Assist the Training Manager to evaluate training at Reaction, Immediate and Intermediate levels to establish the extent to which training meets business needs and improves performance and make recommendations for improvement based on evaluation results. </p><p> •Assist the Training Manager to establish annual refresher training requirements for O&M staff. </p><p> •Support the Training Manager during audits and investigations. </p><p> •Assist the Training Manager to ensure that training materials are updated to reflect changes to O&M plans, procedures, guidelines, forms etc. </p><p> •Manage and maintain training documentation, records and certificates and ensure that they are available for audit and when requested or as a result of an investigation. </p><p> What do I need to qualify for this job? </p><p> •Degree or diploma in education, human resources or equivalent would be an advantage </p><p> •At least 8+ years of experience on an operational railway </p><p> •At least 2+ years of experience conducting training activities on an operational railway </p><p> •Minimum of 2 years of experience in driving tram </p><p> •Must have held a road vehicle license for at least two (2) years issued by the State of Qatar </p><p> •Work experience abroad with multicultural teams </p><p> •Experience of working with and supporting multiple teams </p><p> •Experience in working for railway organisations </p><p> •Good command of spoken and written English language </p><p> •Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools </p><p> •Good analysis skills </p><p> •Strong leadership ability </p><p> What else do I need to know? </p><p> Siemens is dedicated to quality, equality, and valuing diversity, and we welcome applications that reflect the diversity of the communities within which we work.
