Change and Release Analyst

Job Summary The Change and Release Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient and controlled execution of IT changes and releases while minimizing risk and disruption to business operations. This role involves coordinating, assessing, and managing changes and releases in accordance with ITIL v3 and v4 best practices, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation.Job Summary The Change and Release Analyst is responsible for ensuring the efficient and controlled execution of IT changes and releases while minimizing risk and disruption to business operations. This role involves coordinating, assessing, and managing changes and releases in accordance with ITIL v3 and v4 best practices, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless implementation.Key Responsibilities Change Management: Ensure that all Change Requests follow the defined Change Management process, including assessment, approval, scheduling, and review.Facilitate Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings, ensuring effective risk assessment and impact analysis for proposed changes.Collaborate with stakeholders to categorize and prioritize changes based on business impact and urgency.Ensure compliance with IT governance policies, audit requirements, and regulatory standards.Maintain the Change Schedule to minimize conflicts and ensure alignment with business operations.Conduct post-implementation reviews (PIRs) and document lessons learned to enhance future change processes.Maintain Change Management documentation, KPIs, and reports to drive continuous improvement.Release Management Plan, coordinate, and oversee software/application releases, patches, and infrastructure upgrades.Ensure that releases are bundled, tested, and deployed in accordance with the organization's release strategy.Collaborate with Dev Ops, Infrastructure, QA, and Change teams to ensure smooth release planning and execution.Maintain the Release Calendar, ensuring alignment with business needs and minimizing disruptions.Validate release readiness, ensuring all pre- and post-deployment activities are completed successfully.Implement automated deployment tools and Dev Ops practices where applicable.Technical Skills Required Skills & Experience: Strong understanding of ITIL v3 and ITIL v4 Change & Release Management principles.Strong understanding of Agile best practices Experience with Change and Release Management tools and ITSM tools.Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines, Dev Ops methodologies, and automated deployment tools, particularly within Azure Dev Ops.Familiarity with incident, problem, and service management processes.Understanding of risk assessment and impact analysis in IT change and release processes.Soft Skills Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Detail-oriented with strong documentation skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple changes/releases simultaneously.Collaborative mindset to work effectively with cross-functional teams.Seniority level Seniority level Not Applicable Employment type Employment type Contract Job function Job function Information Technology Industries IT Services and IT Consulting Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Dicetek LLC by 2x Business Data & AI Analyst(Arabic speaking)Business Analyst - ATM Domain (NCR and Diebold)Business Analyst- Digital Transformation We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
