Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Base pay range AED360,000.00 / yr - AED420,000.00 / yr AHS, a luxury real estate developer, is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Legal to lead the legal function for our real estate and property development business.The ideal candidate will bring 8-10 years of legal expertise with a strong background in executing financing transactions, land acquisition, mergers and acquisitions, RERA compliance, litigation management, and contract negotiations .This role requires sound legal judgment, industry-specific knowledge, and leadership capabilities to align legal risk management with the company's commercial objectives.Responsibilities Structure, draft, and negotiate legal documentation for a wide range of financing deals, including Islamic financing (Sukuks), syndicated loans, bonds, project finance, and other debt instruments Provide expert legal advice on complex financing structures to support development projects and acquisitions Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations and Shariah principles where applicable.Provide legal guidance and documentation support on mergers and acquisitions, land acquisition, title due diligence, zoning and regulatory approvals Engage and coordinate with external counsel for advisory and documentation Contract Management : Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of real estate agreements : sale deeds, SPAs, JDAs, construction contracts, lease and licensing agreements, and MOUs Standardize contractual templates for vendor, contractor, buyer, and investor documentation Manage contract execution processes and ensure legal enforceability Represent the company in property disputes, arbitration, consumer cases (especially under RERA or consumer protection laws), and other civil litigation Liaise with external counsel and ensure timely filings and representation in courts or tribunals Monitor and manage ongoing litigation, maintain legal case databases, and track legal costs Regulatory Compliance : Ensure compliance with local property laws, municipal regulations, environmental clearances, and the Real Estate Regulatory Agency (RERA)Liaise with regulatory bodies and government agencies for necessary approvals and clearances Leadership & Development : Lead the legal function and liaise with cross-functional teams (sales, planning, construction, finance)Provide regular updates on legal best practices and regulatory developments Serve as a key advisor to senior management on legal risk exposure and strategy Requirements Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university; specialization in property law or real estate preferred8-10 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 3-4 years in real estate or infrastructure development In-depth knowledge of financing transactions, contracts, real estate regulations and land acquisition laws Strong professional network and established relationships with legal counsels / firms, regulatory / legal bodies and industry peers to facilitate smooth legal processes, compliance, and strategic collaboration Excellent legal drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills Ability to manage large documentation workloads and project timelines High attention to detail, confidentiality, and ethical standards Effective leadership and interpersonal communication skills Why Join AHS?Innovative Environment : Be part of a forward-thinking company that embraces innovation and creativity in the luxury real estate market Career Advancement : Enjoy opportunities for professional growth and development, with a clear path for career progression Collaborative Culture : Join a team-oriented environment where collaboration and mutual support are highly Competitive Compensation : Receive a competitive salary and benefits package that rewards your hard work and dedication Work-Life Balance : Enjoy a supportive work environment that values work-life balance and employee well-being Please Note : Due to the high volume of applications we receive, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
