Senior Legal Counsel

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will work as an in-house lawyer for our business activities in the MENA/MEA region, working closely with the business and company stakeholders to ensure timely and professional support in managing legal activities. What this job involves Provide comprehensive day-to-day legal support for all legal affairs within JLL MENA/MEA business, including contractual, corporate, labour, and litigation matters. Prepare and review contracts; negotiate independently with clients and contractors on service agreements, construction agreements, agency agreements, facility management agreements, lease agreements, supplier agreements, etc. Assist the MEA General Counsel on strategic projects and regional corporate matters, including new business line rollouts, legal entity incorporation or liquidation, amendments to constitutional documents, and resolutions. Coordinate with the global legal team on cross-jurisdictional transactions and corporate projects. Review, interpret, evaluate, and analyze relevant laws and regulations; provide updates on legal changes to the Head of Legal MENA/MEA. Advise business and company stakeholders on regulatory matters affecting operations. Ensure legal documents and operations comply with JLL policies, practices, and applicable laws. Handle insurance, licensing, claims, and disputes involving the company. Manage relationships with external legal counsel and liaise with regional and EMEA teams as needed. Assist in developing local policies, adopting global policies, and updating templates for the region. Provide additional support to the MEA General Counsel as needed. Desired skills and experience Bachelor's degree in Law or related field from a leading law school. At least 6 years of post-degree legal experience in UAE, preferably in a multicultural environment. Experience in an international law firm specializing in real estate, construction, or real estate consulting, or experience as in-house counsel is advantageous. Proficiency in English is mandatory; Arabic language skills are a strong plus. High integrity, excellent communication and time management skills, team-oriented mindset. Senior-level professional with strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, responsibility, initiative, and ethical standards.
