This role is ideal for someone passionate about digital communication, content creation, and community engagement. The Social Media Specialist will play a key role in shaping Union Coop’s online presence, increasing our digital reach, and building meaningful relationships with our audience across all major social platforms.As a representative of Union Coop’s values and voice, you’ll be responsible for developing content strategies, executing daily posts, and interacting directly with our online community. This role combines creativity with analytics, requiring a strong understanding of digital trends, audience behavior, and brand alignment.Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement integrated social media plans tailored to each platform to grow Union Coop’s digital presence, boost engagement, and increase followers organically.Content Calendar Management Collaborate with internal departments to align social media activities with the marketing calendar and promotional campaigns, ensuring accurate messaging and on-time delivery.Daily Content Creation & Posting Plan, write, and publish daily posts across platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Linked In, You Tube, and Instagram. Ensure content is engaging, informative, and visually aligned with the brand.Content Development & Curation Produce high-quality, platform-specific content (written, image, and video) and coordinate with designers, photographers, and videographers to develop creative assets.Track brand mentions, trends, customer feedback, and competitor activity across digital channels. Provide regular reports on sentiment, audience growth, and campaign performance.Community Management Actively engage with our followers by responding to comments, direct messages, and mentions in a professional and timely manner. Ask questions, initiate conversations, and create two-way communication with the audience.Influencer Engagement Identify, approach, and manage collaborations with influencers and brand advocates who align with our target audience and values to boost credibility and reach.Interactive Campaigns & Engagement Tactics Plan and manage interactive activities like polls, giveaways, live Q&A sessions, and contests to increase user participation and brand awareness.Agency Coordination Work closely with the assigned social media agency to align on schedules, provide timely content, coordinate designs, and review analytics.Analytics & Reporting Measure performance of content and campaigns using social media analytics tools.
