Senior Elevator Specialist

WSP in the Middle East is seeking a Consultant to Senior Consultant - Vertical Transportation (VT) to join our team in the UAE.We are looking for a professional with at least 10 years of experience in the Lift and Escalator Industry, specializing in Vertical Transportation Consultancy, Lift Design, and Traffic Simulation.The ideal candidate will have expertise in EN81, ASME codes, and local building codes. Responsibilities include developing VT design concepts, calculating lift specifications, and attending client and design team meetings.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.Extensive experience in designing vertical transportation systems for diverse building types and sectors, with a strong understanding of VT codes, standards, and local building regulations.Ability to manage multiple projects, reviews, and deadlines, while adapting to changing demands.Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and sound judgment in delivering technical solutions.Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team and engage effectively with clients.Proficient in English (both written and spoken), with a focus on continuous learning and professional development.Imagine a better future for you and a better future for us all.Work on landmark projects around the world and embrace opportunities to make an even bigger impact in the communities you care about. This includes producing technical reports to illustrate the design to the client and his representatives, attending and coordinating meetings with the project design team, VT supplier, and specialist subcontractors to ensure that the intended design is appropriately implemented. The candidate must also liaise and coordinate with all applicable Local Authority Departments and stakeholders to obtain approval at all stages of the project.
