Department: Marine & Technical Services Location: Site / Office Job Purpose Responsible for managing shipyard projects including dry docking, afloat repairs, mechanical and electrical maintenance, steel and piping fabrication, and surface treatment. Ensures timely, cost-effective, and compliant delivery in line with project scope, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities Plan, execute, and monitor marine repair and maintenance projects in accordance with defined scope, budget, and schedule. Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, budgets, resource plans, and progress reports. Coordinate effectively with internal departments, subcontractors, classification societies, and clients. Interpret technical specifications, contractual requirements, and international standards. Diagnose and resolve mechanical, structural, electrical, and systems-related issues across a range of vessels. Ensure project compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Prepare and submit all project documentation including repair procedures, inspection reports, completion certificates, and invoicing support. Monitor project risks and implement mitigation strategies. Support class surveys, client inspections, and regulatory audits.Mandatory Candidate Profile (Compulsory Requirement)Experienced and detail-oriented Project Engineer with thorough knowledge of ship repair activities.Strong background in mechanical/marine engineering with hands-on experience across various ship repair yards. Skilled in diagnosing and resolving mechanical, structural, electrical, and systems-related issues on a wide range of commercial vessels, naval ships, and yachts. Proficient in dry-docking procedures, class surveys, budgeting, and coordination with shipyards, contractors, clients, and classification societies. Committed to maintaining safety, compliance, and operational efficiency in all repair and refit projects.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline. 6–8 years of proven experience in ship repair and dry-docking project management. Strong technical knowledge of marine repair operations and systems. Proficiency in project planning tools, MS Office, and relevant software. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
