Procurement Coordinator Location: Offshore Oil and Gas Sector, Qatar Employment Type: Contract Qualifications: Degree or diploma in Engineering and/or Business.Formal training in supply chain, logistics or membership of a recognised professional institution preferred.Experience: Minimum 12 years experience for degree holders or 15 years for diploma holders in procurement roles within the oil and gas sector.Proven experience supervising and managing EPC contractors is essential.Project management experience required.Experience working in the GCC region is desirable.Previous interaction with Chinese companies and proficiency in Chinese language is an advantage.Strong knowledge of materials used in offshore platforms and subsea pipeline projects.In-depth understanding of EPC engineering, procurement, expediting, inspection, logistics, construction, and commissioning processes.Experienced in schedule development and manufacturing processes.Ability to resolve complex procurement issues with impacts beyond procurement function.Key Responsibilities: Manage the contractor's procurement team to ensure procurement, expediting, inspection and logistics activities meet project quality and delivery requirements.Monitor and report on project procurement progress and prepare status reports for the project management team.Expedite procurement of long lead and critical items to ensure timely delivery.Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams on vendor evaluation, selection criteria, and vendor audits when required.Evaluate vendor performance and address procurement-related issues promptly.Ensure contractor compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality procedures related to procurement in coordination with project management and HSE teams.Participate in risk assessments, identify procurement risks and propose mitigation measures.Provide problem solving and crisis management support as needed.Coordinate and support cross-functional teams including QAQC, engineering, construction and commissioning.Implement relevant elements of the company's quality management system as applicable to the role.Familiarise with project and discipline-specific inspection documentation to ensure compliance with contract requirements.Maintain knowledge of international codes, standards and regulations such as INCOTERMS and industry best practices. #J-18808-Ljbffr
