Roles and responsibilities
- Lead site risk assessments for current and new activities.
- Establish site WHS training matrix.
- Lead implementation of site specific WHS standards and guidelines.
- Lead implementation of site WHS objective and programs.
- Promote safe culture among employees by providing daily WHS content to shift briefing/standup meetings.
- Perform frequent site safety audits to identify all non-compliance equipment and/or processes at the site. Work with Operations team to implement solutions to eliminate exposure to these risks and prevent injury.
- Conduct daily and weekly WHS audits, such as GEMBA walks, area audits, vehicle and driver inspections, etc.
- Attend to incidents and occupational injury cases on site.
- Guide and assist area managers on incident investigations, Gensuite write up, and communication of lessons learned.
- Assist Ops team in Gensuite follow up sheet and CAPA creation. Audit record-keeping practices and ensure Gensuite entries align with global WHS standards and local regulations.
- Ensure the PPE inventory at site and coordinate with procurement for order placement.
- Ensure basic fire fighting training and first aid training completion.
- Complete daily Trailer Dock Release (TDR) inspections and communications.
- Monitor Daily Action Tracking System, closeout, and support.
- Participate in site management safety walk, providing insight into unsafe acts and conditions to management.
- Provide daily updates to Country WHS Manager on objectives progress, incidents, AO's, ATS, network actions, etc.
- Prepare WHS committee meeting agenda, MOM write up, and ATS creation.
- Review and sign off daily Permit to Work, working with the operational and facilities team.
- Lead on WHS related procurement and follow up on site.
- Prepare risk assessments and emergency response plans.
- Manage preparation and completion of emergency drills, medi-evac drills, and prepare drill records.
- Establish and monitor Heat Index support.
- Provide support to site specific requests, unplanned events, and activities.
- On the Road experience.
- Excellent with computers and data analysis.
- NEBOSH Diploma.
- Experience in WHS field.
- Good communication skills – English.
- Valid UAE driving license and own transport.
- Works well within a team environment.
- Driven and pushes for self-development and growth.
- Strong communication, teamwork, analysis, judgment, and customer focus skills.
- Ability to adapt well to fast-paced environments with changing circumstances, direction, and strategy.
- Experience working within a team.
- Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns and conduct job hazard and job safety analyses.
- Experienced in emergency response and currently holds First aid and CPR certificates.
- Skills in analyzing and manipulating data.
- Passion for safety.
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or Engineering/Science bachelor degree.

1. Knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations- In-depth understanding of national and international health and safety laws, standards, and regulations (e.g., OSHA , NEBOSH , ISO 45001).
- Ability to interpret and apply health and safety laws and guidelines to ensure compliance within the organization.
- Strong skills in identifying potential hazards in the workplace, from physical dangers to health risks (e.g., chemical exposure, ergonomics, and fire hazards).
- Ability to assess risks and recommend corrective actions to mitigate hazards.
- Ability to develop, implement, and conduct safety training programs to educate employees on safe work practices and emergency procedures.
- Skills in organizing safety drills, first aid training, and fire evacuation procedures to ensure employees are prepared for emergencies.
- Proficient in investigating workplace accidents and incidents to determine causes and prevent future occurrences.
- Ability to document incidents thoroughly, prepare detailed reports, and recommend corrective actions to improve safety standards.
- Conducting regular safety audits, inspections, and assessments to identify areas of non-compliance or potential risks.
- Experience with using checklists and safety audit tools to maintain high safety standards.
- Developing and maintaining emergency response plans for various situations (e.g., fire, medical emergencies, hazardous spills).
- Ensuring employees are trained on emergency procedures and that necessary safety equipment is in place and functional.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate safety policies, guidelines, and training to employees and management.
- Ability to foster a safety-conscious culture by engaging employees and addressing safety concerns in a clear, approachable manner.
- Proficient in tracking and analyzing safety performance data, incident reports, and accident statistics to monitor progress and identify trends.
- Ability to generate safety reports and present findings to management, recommending improvements when necessary.
- Excellent attention to detail when reviewing safety records, conducting inspections, and identifying safety hazards.
- Ability to spot potential risks before they become issues, ensuring proactive rather than reactive safety management.
