Job Title: Big Data Administrator (Cloudera Admin) Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced Big Data Administrator with 10-13 years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing Big Data platforms, particularly in Cloudera environments. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Hadoop cluster management, source system integration, performance tuning, and other Big Data applications. They should also possess strong knowledge and exposure to release management, CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure, hardware, security controls, capacity planning, backup, disaster recovery, and stakeholder management. Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage Big Data platforms, including Hadoop Cluster management (CDP, CML, NIFI) and other Big Data applications within Cloudera environments.
- Integrate source systems into the Big Data platform and ensure seamless data flow.
- Perform performance tuning and optimization to enhance platform efficiency and scalability.
- Handle release management, CI/CD, and containerization processes for Big Data applications.
- Understand and manage infrastructure and hardware configurations, including on-premise, hybrid cloud, and cloud environments.
- Conduct capacity planning, sizing, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity management, IT service continuity management (ITSCM), and adhere to ITIL practices.
- Implement security controls and ensure compliance with security standards and regulations.
- Manage vulnerability management, security agents setup, patch updates, and conduct penetration testing.
- Handle stakeholder and vendor management effectively.
- Perform day-to-day operational tasks such as monitoring, performance tuning, and generating management reports.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related field.
- 10-13 years of experience working in implementations for Big Data platforms, source system integration, and performance tuning.
- Proficiency in Hadoop cluster management within Cloudera environments (CDP, CML, NIFI) and other Big Data applications.
- Experience with release management, CI/CD, and containerization.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and hardware configurations across on-premise, hybrid cloud, and cloud environments.
- Knowledge and experience in capacity planning, sizing, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity management, and IT service continuity management (ITSCM).
- Familiarity with security controls implementation, vulnerability management, security agents setup, patch updates, and penetration testing.
- Experience in stakeholder and vendor management.
- Hands-on experience in day-to-day operational tasks such as monitoring, performance tuning, and generating management reports.
- Relevant certifications in Big Data technologies or Cloudera administration are preferred.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent presentation, written, and verbal communication skills.
