MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To lead and manage the nursing team in the Labour Ward for the provision of patient-centric and evidence-based nursing care, operational efficiency, and positive patient experiences.KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
- To provide strong leadership and management guidance to the team.
- To ensure evidence-based patient care practices are followed as per clinical standards.
- To ensure positive patient experiences by developing employees and creating an environment that enables team engagement.
- To manage allocated clinical and non-clinical resources in a cost-efficient and effective manner to enhance safe patient care.
- To monitor and manage compliance with legislative, regulatory, and clinical standards to ensure continuous quality improvement.
REQUIRED EDUCATION
Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery. UAE license or eligibility as Registered Midwife.REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Essential: At least 5 years’ senior midwifery experience in a hospital setting. Desired: 5-10 years of senior midwifery experience and managerial experience.REQUIRED JOB SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Demonstrate the ability to implement all five (5) stages of the Scientific Nursing Process (assessment, planning, nursing diagnosis, implementation, and evaluation).
- Presentation Skills.
- UAE Labour Law.
- Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
- Cost management principles.
- Demonstrate Nursing functional competence (Nursing practice).
- Demonstrate the ability to manage meetings effectively.
- Quality management and governance standards and best practices.
- Risk management principles, systems, and best practices.
- Skilled in the demonstration and assessment of all relevant clinical procedures.
- Stock control principles and management.
- UAE healthcare regulatory framework and related requirements.
- Workforce planning and scheduling.
