JOB DESCRIPTION: ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual presentations for management and the Board of Directors, focusing on analyzing business performance, various divisions, variance analysis, and key drivers.
  2. Review General Ledgers (GLs) and supporting schedules prepared by the operations team for accuracy and compliance with IFRSs and IASs.
  3. Proficiently handle Chart of Accounts, mapping, and the preparation of Excel and PowerPoint reports and models related to P&L, balance sheets, cash flow, and capex for management reporting.
  4. Possess knowledge and practical experience in IFRS, including the ability to prepare accounting memos on accounting treatment.
  5. Hands-on experience in preparing complete financial statements in accordance with IFRS for large entities.
  6. Engage with both external and internal auditors, participating in discussions related to audit observations and issues.
  7. Prepare quarterly, bi-annual, and annual cash flow and P&L forecasts in Excel, collaborating with business units and extracting data from the ERP system based on accurate assumptions.
  8. Develop and maintain various business reports, financial models, and standard templates for subsidiary financial and operational requirements.
  9. Coordinate with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams for closing matters, reviews, and reconciliations, addressing day-to-day coordination issues.
  10. Apply financial analysis tools and concepts, including rate of return, working capital, investments, cost analysis, and financial performance comparisons, to provide practical guidance to business managers.
  11. Exhibit excellent communication skills to effectively engage with various departments, department heads, and teams across the organization.
YoE / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE Min of: 8+ years of experience in financial accounting, operations, IFRS, FP&A, audit, and management accounting experience. YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION Min of: N/A FIELD OF EXPERIENCE
  • Experience in accounting within real estate, mall management, and hospitality.
TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS
  • Knowledge of and ability to apply international accounting standards and ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of and ability to adhere to internal controls.
  • Good analytical skills.
  • Vigilant and detail-oriented.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong time management capabilities.
QUALIFICATION
  • Professional accounting qualification e.g. CPA, CIMA, CA, ACCA is a must (full or partial).
