Outstanding opportunity for a qualified, experienced Group Financial Controller to work for a market leading specialty business, based at Dubai global head office.We are looking for a best in class finance professional who can demonstrate a steep upward curve in their career to date, currently working in a Group or Financial Controller role and managing a team in a multi-cultural environment. This role is part of the senior management team, and will participate actively in commercial and strategic decisions, work closely with the Group CFO and Functional/Regional VPs and must have the confidence and gravitas to present at Board level.Key ResponsibilitiesConsolidate and report at main board level the internal quarterly management figures, annual budget and five-year business plan.Co-ordinate Group monthly management reporting, ensure all operating companies (Opcos) meet required financial reporting requirements and deadlines. Provide commentary to summarise Group performance, review and explain variances.Carry out financial reviews in Opcos to ensure management accounts, forecasts, budget, business plans and statutory accounts are prepared in accordance with the Group policies.Ensure effective accounting and internal control procedures are in place: directly for Head Office activities and indirectly in Opcos through the Regional Financial Controller (RFC) network.Co-ordinate the RFC network and implement the Group's finance policies and procedures. Lead standardisation of best practice in finance procedures through monthly calls and bi-annual meetings.Assist with major initiatives (new territories, factories, distributors, JVs etc). Define and deliver effective processes, systems and resources to successfully achieve organisational goals.Minimum RequirementsChartered Accountant (ACA) with 10+ years PQE and significant manufacturing industry experience, preferably obtained in a blue-chip multinational group. Proficiency in IFRS and a solid knowledge of standard costing are essential, as is experience leading system/process improvements, and management of a team with both direct and functional reports. Strong communication skills and a collaborative working style are also a prerequisite - this role will be expected to set the example for the Finance Dept by working closely with other head office Depts - Sales, Supply Chain, Technology, Manufacturing, Projects, Legal, IT and HR.
