Yourrole will involve developing and executing strategies to optimize the efficiency of consolidationprocesses, ensuring smooth operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Inaddition, coordinate with various stakeholders, including vendors, carriers, and internaldepartments, to achieve operational targets and deliver exceptional service.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesStrategy Development: Develop a comprehensive strategy for consolidation hubs andinfrastructure, aligning it with DumaTrans's overall objectives and growth plans.Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of consolidation hubs,ensuring that they function efficiently and effectively. This includes managing personnel,equipment, and resources to meet performance targets.Infrastructure Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and design theinfrastructure required for consolidation hubs. This involves evaluating currentinfrastructure, identifying gaps, and recommending improvements or expansions.Process Optimization: Continuously review and improve consolidation processes toenhance operational efficiency. Identify bottlenecks, implement best practices, andintroduce innovative solutions to streamline operations.Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs)tomonitor the performance of consolidation hubs and infrastructure. Regularly analysedata and metrics to identify areas for improvement and take appropriate correctiveactions.Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including supply chain teams,logistics, operations, and finance, to ensure smooth coordination and alignment ofconsolidation activities. Foster strong relationships with external partners, such astransport providers or third-party logistics companies, to optimize collaboration andachieve shared goals.Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations,industry standards, and safety requirements. Identify and mitigate potential risks relatedto consolidation processes, infrastructure, or operations.Budgeting and Cost Control: Develop and manage the budget for consolidation hubs andinfrastructure. Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimizeresource allocation to achieve financial targets.Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing team responsible for managingconsolidation hubs and infrastructure. Provide guidance, mentorship, and support toteam members, fostering their professional growth and development.Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies,and best practices related to consolidation and logistics. Proactively identify opportunitiesfor innovation and implement process enhancements to drive continuous improvement.Required Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or arelated field. A master's degree is preferred.Minimum five years of experience in similar position.Proven experience in managing consolidation hubs and associated infrastructure,preferably in a similar leadership role.Proven experience specializing in African market would be an added advantage.Strong knowledge of consolidation processes, logistics, and supply chain management.Proven experience in exporting with shipping lines and airlinesExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolveoperational challenges.Demonstrated experience in process optimization and implementing efficiencyimprovements.Familiarity with relevant regulations, industry standards, and safety requirements.Proficiency in using technology and software applications related to consolidation andinfrastructure management.Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internaland external stakeholders.Proven track record of driving results, meeting targets, and managing budgets.Ability to adapt to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Proficient knowledge of both English and the local language of the country is required.Required Skills:Problem solving - identify root causes and bring into implementation strong solutionsand preventive plans.Planning skills - able to identify and implement key initiatives for utilizationenhancement, lead time improvement, efficiency gains.Leadership skills - develop team members through coaching, feedback, guidance.Lean knowledge - Initial Operating Procedure creation, process improvementProduct and market knowledge.What We Offer?At DumaTrans, we offer a competitive salary, a supportive work environment, and anopportunityfor you to develop a distinctive career path that reflects your unique talents andskills.
