Job Description:Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Commercial Director to join our team! In this role you will get to l manage all commercial activity for a Division, a major market segment, or for a major project. Travel to the client's offices or the project site may be required, either before the contract receives final approval or during the life of the contract.What You'll Be DoingEstablish robust procurement strategies for Major Works within a challenging time frame using different methodologies.Review and prepare invitations to tender for Major Works including specialist disciplines.Review Tender submissions and assist in the evaluation of the same for recommendation to the EmployerAssist in negotiations to facilitate the placing of Major Contracts.Negotiate and clarify contractual requirements in meetings with consultants and contractors.Manage a team of both pre and post contract commercial staff;5+ year local GCC experience on projects across Civils, Infrastructure, Buildings and Utilities. + MRICS, or equivalentRisk assessment,Procurement strategy,Tender analysis & evaluation,What Required Skills You'll BringProvides technical guidance to assigned personnel and ensures proficiency and timeliness of contract administration. Makes staffing assignments and reassignments as Company and project needs arise. Recruits, interviews, and evaluates prospective employees. Collaborates with Division and project management to ensure proper support contract negotiations and administration.Reviews requests for proposals to identify risks and contractual terms not conforming to Company policy.Negotiates the more difficult, or complex, contractual issuesMaintains active participation in related professional societies to keep abreast of relevant contractual issues.Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.What Desired Skills You'll BringBachelor's degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or related field20+ years of experience is requiredExperience in mixed-use development projectsExperience in PMO/PMC projects.MRICS, MCIPS, or equivalentRequires a comprehensive knowledge of industry business practices and the negotiation of prime contractsIncumbent must also possess strong written and oral communication skills, excellent interpersonal skillsWorking knowledge of PC software packages typically associated with contract administration.The ability to perform in a management capacity is also requiredExperience in FIDIC contractsMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Not Applicable/NoneParsons is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity in the workplace.
