OVERSEAS CONTRACT: GRADE 114 - TECHNICAL DIRECTOR Basic Salary:  The offered amount is the discretion of the employer.  Market Allowance:  % of basic salary. Monthly Professional Allowance:  % of basic salary. Transport Allowance:  1250 QAR per month. Mobile Allowance :  300 QAR per month.  Accommodation:  Provided. Annual Leave:  50 calendar days per year. Schooling Assistance:  21 000 QAR (maximum) (up to 3 children) per child per academic year up to (ages from 5-18 years and provided that they are studying in private schools in Doha). Payment will be made upon submission of the appropriate receipts and will cover basic tuition fee only (provided that you obtained residence permit for them under your sponsorship). Air Passage Entitlement:  Air passage/flight ticket for self and family - up to 3 children up to 18 years old, on joining, annual leave & repatriation (provided that he/she obtained residence permit for them under his/her sponsorship). Baggage Allowance : Unaccompanied baggage for yourself - up to 50 kg and family up to 200 kg on joining, and 100kg for self and 250 kg for family on repatriation, to be reimbursed at standard rate.  The benefits outlined here are those that apply to most employees. Global Medical Recruiting can assist the applicant with salary offer negotiations with the employer, but in the end the final salary offered is at the sole discretion of the employer and not of Global Medical Recruiting. **PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS BEFORE APPLYING** View Minimum Requirements Minimum Requirements ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Bachelor Degree in Healthcare or Science AND Diploma or Certificate in area of specialty. ESSENTIAL MINIMUM LICENSED EXPERIENCE: 8 years experience in healthcare of which  4 years experience must be working on supervisory level in area of specialty. MEDICAL LICENSE: Not applicable. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluent in English.  Specification KEY FUNCTIONS: 1. Daily technical operation of the facility (staff scheduling, patients scheduling, facility record keeping, etc.) 2. Supervise the daily work of the technical staff. 3. Monitor and adjust medical equipment to ensure optimal procedures by reports the medical equipment problems and make minor adjustment and repair of this equipment. 4. Acts as a clinical consultant to staff, nurses and physicians regarding advanced procedures and new technologies. 5. Communicates and provides training/education of new procedures and protocol to the staff and nursing. 6. Serve as technical lead over lower level staff as required; assist in the training of fellow's residents and medical students. 7. Participates in peer interviews for technicians, and hiring process. 8. Assists in evaluating medical equipment and makes suggestions regarding purchase. 9. Performs Daily QA and identifying areas of quality improvement. Provides/reviews on going feedback to maximize the quality. 10. Assist with the accreditation process for the staff. 11. Working with the Director of the department, medical staff and technical staff to ensure quality patient care 12. When necessary, performs technical procedures and at the patient bedside. 13. Maintain infection control and work with hospital infection control team. 14. Monitor the medical equipment and ensure instruments are sanitized and working properly. 15. Monitor the orders and ensure stores have adequate supplies for specialty. 16. Responding to the medical emergencies as required. 17. All facility duties delegated by the director of the department. 18. Coordinate with the different companies, bioengineering and supply chain in the hospital. 19. Report accidents/incidents or get those involved to write a report about the event and take lead in having the patient treated courteously and politely by the staff. 20. Serve as technical and education resource to the staff. 21. Perform other duties as assigned.
