Job Purpose: The ideal candidate will review & monitor the daily reconciliation of Nostro Bank Accounts, Central Bank Accounts and Internal (Sundries GLs) and Intersystem to ensure accuracy of details, minimization of outstanding items, and resolution of any issue that arise related to reconciliation while adhering to the Bank’s policies. Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile, review & follow up of all the Nostro, Central Bank Accounts and Internal GLs (Sundries) accounts to maintain accuracy of details, take appropriate action to minimize the outstanding items and all possible risk to ensure Bank’s assets and related activities are protected.
- Update all the issues to the line manager, co-ordinate with concerned area department to ensure that all the open items are settled time to time as per the Bank’s standard operating procedures and policies.
- Provide updates daily, advising on issues, queries related to reconciliation.
- Follow-up with internal customers of outstanding items and respond to queries in order to resolve all issues in time.
- Demonstrate Bank’s high service standards to deliver the required levels of service in all internal customer interactions.
- MIS development and periodical reporting to line manager.
- To exchange information relevant to reconciliation activities / queries.
- Co-ordinate with internal audit team and CB audit team.
- 8+ years experience in accounting with knowledge of the accounting system used in banking particularly reconciliation and its related activities. At least 2+ years in a similar role.
- Working knowledge of automated reconciliation software and other accounting systems.
- Knowledge of International banking practices is an added value.
