The Risk Lead will work closely with the group function to help build a Risk framework that ensures operational efficiencies in country

We need exceptional talent to help us on this journey. The Risk Team Are you someone who thinks three steps ahead and has an uncanny ability to see around corners? If so, you might have the right superpowers for our risk management team. This team acts as the guardians of Tap Payments and our customers. The tech world moves fast, sometimes too fast. This team ensures we succeed by proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks. Fasten your seat belt and join the team! As a Tapster you will:- Perform risk identification and assessment for all departments and products
- Implement a strategic plan to prevent, eliminate, and mitigate risks.
- Assist risk analysts in the development of key risk and control indicators.
- Coordinate with senior management in performing risk reviews.
- Track and monitor risk issues for business units by implementing a risk register for all departments with risk profiles and targets.
- Report operational risk issues and decisions to senior management regularly.
- Assist in identifying and evaluating risk areas across the operational activities.
- Investigate the root causes of incidents and risks and provide support to mitigate them.
- Maintain and analyze operational risk losses across the group.
- Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders and business partners by addressing issues/concerns in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation for risk management and risk policies and procedures.
- Keep abreast of the latest risk management techniques and industry best practices.
- Provide specialist technical support for risk management development and implementation.
- Drive the development of risk management capability, competency, and capacity across the operational levels via facilitation, material, and delivery modes.
- Enabling the first and second lines of defense to manage operational risk effectively through the provision of advice, tools, training, and robust independent challenges
- Facilitate the embedding of systems that accurately define, monitor, and analyze operational risk profiles, control strategies, and control effectiveness.
- Perform business impact analysis and stress testing.
- Perform data analysis and build the required risk and fraud models.
- Apply risk management methodologies to identify risks and define robust critical control strategies.
- Carry out other duties as assigned based on the demands of the business and the growth of the role.
- 4-6 years of role-specific experience and a master of your craft, you've begun to make a name for yourself as an industry or function leader
- An in-depth understanding of PayTech
- Preferred degree, but real-world experience is also accepted
- Ability to develop and strengthen client/merchant/stakeholder relationships
- Customer-first approach and persistence for excellence
- Humility and hands-on leadership style
- Anticipates problems and creates solutions
- Quick thinking in solving complex challenges
- Ability to guide team discussions effectively
- Outstanding communication skills in English, with a preference for Arabic language ability
