Job Description Aldar Education are seeking Modern Foreign Language Teachers that specialise in French and Spanish, commencing Summer 2025 or sooner by appointment, to support the growth of our owned and operated schools. In order to be considered for this post, they will have demonstrable experience of the British curriculum. Responsibilities
  • To deliver lessons that inspire students to succeed in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Roles and responsibilities include:
    • Teamwork and collaboration

    • Planning engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements
    • Liaising with colleagues and working flexibly
    • Working with parents to ensure the happiness and best academic outcomes for all children
    • Cooperating with curriculum support staff to support children's development
Teaching and Learning
  • Clear understanding of the curriculum
  • Organising classroom provision and learning resources to create a positive learning environment
  • Planning, preparing and presenting sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class
  • Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching
  • Observing and assessing children in line with school assessments
  • Reflecting on classroom provision and adjusting planning and curriculum as needed
  • Meeting with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, if required
  • Embedding the Al Mamoura Academy Teacher and Learner DNA language and attitudes throughout the curriculum
Assessment and Data
  • Taking responsibility for the progress of a class
  • Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of student's development
  • Using data from assessments to influence further planning and intervention
  • Providing feedback to parents and carers on a student's progress
Behaviour Management and Duties
  • Following the school's behaviour policy
  • Managing classes effectively to inspire and motivate pupils
  • Maintaining good relationships with pupils and exercising appropriate authority
  • Being a positive role model and demonstrating expected attitudes and behaviour
  • Promoting self-control and independence among learners
  • Carrying out duties as directed within the school's policy
Wider Professional Responsibilities
  • Working as part of a curriculum action group to support planning and assessment
  • Supporting and participating in school events and activities
  • Communicating effectively with parents regarding student achievements
  • Making a positive contribution to the wider life and ethos of the school
  • Running a weekly ECA each term
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in the related subject with PGCE or other teacher qualification
  • Minimum 1-2 years teaching experience
  • Previous experience working with students for whom English is not their first language
  • Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
  • A high level of professionalism and consideration for children's well-being
  • Recent involvement in extra-curricular activities
  • Respect for all members of the school community
  • A positive and solution-focused attitude to working life
  • A clean enhanced Disclosure and Barring Services check or police check
