As a Technical Product Owner, you should be skilled and passionate with expertise in API development and a deep understanding of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in shaping and delivering our API products to enhance the travel booking experience for our customers.Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize features, focusing on improving the efficiency and effectiveness of travel booking workflows.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, and business development, to translate customer needs into scalable API solutions.Define and prioritize user stories, epics, and acceptance criteria, considering the unique challenges and opportunities within the travel industry.Utilize expertise in API mapping and workflow assessment to design and optimize integration pathways between our APIs and external systems.Serve as the subject matter expert on NDC and API-related matters, providing guidance and support to internal teams and external partners.Monitor industry trends and developments in API technology and travel distribution to identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation.Knowledge/Experience & Skills:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Proven experience as a Technical Product Owner or similar role, with a focus on API development in the travel industry.Deep understanding of the New Distribution Capability (NDC) standard and its implications for airline distribution.Strong knowledge of API mapping techniques and workflow assessment methodologies.Experience working with travel industry stakeholders such as airlines, global distribution systems (GDS), and travel agencies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and tools.Experience with API management platforms and documentation tools is a plus.Passion for innovation and a customer-centric mindset.At TPConnects, we ensure your journey with us is as smooth as a first-class flight.
