Job Overview
The Trader Trainee role allows the opportunity to learn and train under an experienced Merchandiser/Trader, eventually becoming an independent Commodity Trader.Responsibilities
- Be mentored/trained to be responsible for commodity origination, logistics, marketing, and execution within assigned product(s) and/or location(s).
- Arrange cost effective and efficient transportation of commodities.
- Understand local supply and demand factors that impact markets, and make commercial decisions to generate revenue.
- Initiate and negotiate on terms of commodity purchase and collaborate with supply chain and plant operations teams to fulfill commodity contracts for customers in a timely manner.
- Exposure to procurement of agri commodities, trading, and execution is required.
