About The Job (Contract Hire)

  1. To drive heavy duty road tankers from Sharjah Depot to deliver to various customers and filling station/depots locations.
  2. To ensure that the vehicle is in good operating condition for the delivery of products.
  3. To comply with all safety precautions and standards.
  4. To attend loading/offloading in the designated facilities.
Key Accountabilities
  1. Inspects the vehicle before loading to ensure that routine maintenance checks have been carried out by workshop personnel and informs any defects to the Distribution Supervisor.
  2. Checks availability of hoses and couplings in the vehicle. Ensures that the product compartment of the vehicle is empty before loading any products.
  3. Ensures that fuel tanks are full before proceeding on trips and that the vehicle is properly sealed before proceeding to deliver the product.
  4. Obtains instructions from the Dispatch Supervisor and hands over to loaders to load the products. Ensures that compartments are sealed after loading.
  5. Drives the road tanker from the loading bay to various customer or filling station/depot locations and back, according to dispatch schedules and work shifts.
  6. Assists the supply operator with connection/disconnection and loading of road tankers in the loading gantry.
  7. Collects Product Delivery Note/Product Transfer Notes from the Dispatch Supervisor and gives them to the depot gate after loading is finished.
Minimum Requirements
  1. Secondary School graduate or higher education.
  2. At least 3 years' experience in driving heavy-duty vehicles and transporting inflammable petroleum products.
  3. Knowledge of English & Arabic languages (spoken & written).
  4. Must have a Heavy Vehicle UAE Driver's License.
  5. Familiarity with the basics of customer service.
