Business Development Manager - Digital Ad Sales17 Aug 2023We are a super lean start-up (~ 5) seeking a dynamic and motivated Digital Ad Sales Manager with a strong background in programmatic advertising and extensive market knowledge of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) region. The ideal candidate will leverage their existing networks and deep understanding of programmatic advertising to drive sales and revenue growth. This role requires a strategic thinker who can effectively communicate our products' value propositions and cultivate strong relationships with clients and partners across the region. This role is remote and commission-based only with a very high commission structure meaning that you determine your success.ResponsibilitiesMarket Expertise - Utilize your in-depth knowledge of the MENA digital advertising landscape, including industry trends, key players, market dynamics, and competitive landscape, to identify opportunities and inform sales strategies.Programmatic Advertising Sales - Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to sell programmatic advertising solutions to clients within the MENA region. Collaborate with the sales team to establish targets and objectives that align with company goals.Client Relationship Management - Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, advertising agencies, media buyers, and other stakeholders. Understand their unique needs and tailor advertising solutions to meet their objectives.Product Knowledge - Possess a thorough understanding of our programmatic advertising offerings, including ad formats, targeting capabilities, data insights, and analytics. Translate this knowledge into compelling value propositions for clients.Sales Presentations - Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations that effectively communicate the benefits of programmatic advertising to potential clients. Address client inquiries, provide insights, and offer tailored recommendations.Collaboration - Collaborate closely with the marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure a cohesive approach to product development, campaign execution, and client satisfaction.Market Research - Continuously monitor industry trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities within the programmatic advertising space. Translate findings into actionable strategies to maintain a competitive edge.Sales Forecasting and Reporting - Provide accurate sales forecasts, performance metrics, and regular updates to senior management. Analyze sales data to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.Negotiation - Skillfully negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to maximize revenue while maintaining strong client relationships and adherence to company policies.Networking - Leverage your existing networks and establish new connections within the MENA advertising community to expand our client base and strengthen industry partnerships.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, or a related field. MBA is a plus.Proven track record of successful digital ad sales and business development, preferably in the MENA region.Strong understanding of programmatic advertising, ad tech ecosystem, and related technologies.Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships.Strategic thinker with a data-driven and results-oriented approach.Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in using CRM and sales management tools.Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages spoken in the MENA region is a plus.Willingness to travel within the MENA region as needed.If you are passionate about programmatic advertising, have a proven sales track record, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we invite you to join our team as a Digital Ad Sales Manager.
