Roles and ResponsibilitiesPerform the vertical and mixed-use design activities across all projects during the design stage.Assist in the development of master plans that conform to Business Plans (BP).This role is for Emiratization Only.Roles And ResponsibilitiesProvide overall design direction on feasibility/test fits.Provide input and innovative ideas.Manage the creation of client design briefs.Participate in prequalification process and assist and oversee assessments of consultants.Assist and oversee the brief and the scope sections of the RFP.Oversee and approve tender evaluations for technical stage submissions in conjunction with the line manager.Establish and manage the Aldar Design Guidelines with input from Design Excellence and Projects functions.Review the Project Implementation Plan for each special development project.Manage and develop the Bidders Recommendation Report.Participate in all design presentations and review all design-related submittals from concept to final delivery.Administer, where necessary, the consultant contract in relation to contract implementation, measuring completed work for payments, variation orders, etc.Assist in managing and approve all proposed value engineering options.Oversee the management design progress against the program.Review design documentation for the purpose of validating brief/code compliance.Assist in ensuring the integrity of the approved design is maintained through project delivery and handover, working with project stakeholders to assess, manage and document any design changes.Assist in obtaining design NOCs in conjunction with stakeholder management function.Assist in obtaining Utility/DOT/ADM/etc. NOCs in order to obtain a Building Permit through the consultants.Review and approve all proposed materials, their substitutes, and colors.Ensure adherence to Estidama standards.Liaise with consultants and ensure that all drawing submittals are in line with Aldar specifications.Qualifications & ExperienceRELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:Min of 10+ years of experience in design process for developments with CAPEX 4+ billion AED.YEARS IN A MANAGERIAL POSITION:Min of 2+ years in a managerial position.Desired Candidate ProfileProject Management Expertise: Extensive knowledge of project management principles, methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), and best practices.Leadership Skills: Strong leadership capabilities to motivate and guide project teams effectively.Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop long-term project strategies that align with organizational objectives.Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with stakeholders at all levels.Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess project performance and identify areas for improvement.Risk Management: Proficiency in identifying and managing project risks and developing effective mitigation strategies.Budget Management: Experience in managing project budgets and financial forecasting.Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional teams.Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Trello, Jira).Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to address challenges and implement effective solutions.
