Job Description OVERVIEWTitleCounter Sales OfficerDirect Reporting Relationship (Title)Counter Sales Team Leader/Branch SupervisorCompanySpare Parts Center (SPC)PurposeTo do sales' activities within an assigned geographical area, product range and government customer accounts in order to deliver the agreed sales objectives, customer satisfaction levels, and profitability targets within SPC operational plans, and adopted policies and procedures.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIESSales Operations:Conclude sales orders to meet established annual, quarterly, monthly, or weekly sales targets and prioritize and schedule own activities so these targets are metIdentify, research, and conduct prospective customers and build positive relationships that will generate future sales and repeat businessRespond to customer enquiries and complaints, and act as an advisor to answer technical enquiries Negotiate prices, quotations, and delivery times and approve discounts and returns within limits of authorityCustomer Relationship Management:Build and maintain long-term customer relationships with the Branch's customers to ensure identifying and addressing their current and future needsEnsure customer relationship management techniques are applied by the Branch's Parts staff including advising customers on the market's trends and offerings to increase customers' loyalty to SPCAddress and resolve disputes with customers to ensure customer retention and protect SPC's market positioningPolicies, Processes and Procedures:Implement approved Parts Sales' policies, processes, procedures and provides instructions to subordinates and monitor their adherence so that work is carried out in a controlled mannerContribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes and practices taking into account leading practices, improvement of business processes, cost reduction and productivity improvementSupport in monitoring day-to-day activities to ensure compliance with stipulated policies and proceduresMAIN CONTACTSInternalExternalWarehouse CustomersCashierLogisticsQUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSKnowledge and Experience2 years of experience in Part SalesCustomer Relationship Management experienceCommunication skills Negotiation skillsEducation and Certifications A diploma Degree in Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent is requiredA Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent is preferredWORKING CONDITIONSWorking EnvironmentLow Exposure / OfficeDegree of Risk - Physical or Mental InjuryLow / Normal Risk
