Overview
We are seeking a Business Dev Analyst I to join the Prosperity7 of Aramco Ventures.
Prosperity7 ventures is the diversified investment fund under Aramco Ventures. It's inaugural $1Bn fund focuses on investing in Disruptive and scalable technologies and business models that can grow to become stand-alone businesses. Prosperity7 headquarters is in Dhahran with regional investment offices in Beijing, Shanghai, New York and Palo Alto.
The Business Dev Analyst I primary role is to supports the screening, planning and development of new business ventures by applying extensive knowledge in the area of business development. With limited direction independently evaluates new business proposals and participates in the development of
moderately complex to complex new business ventures. Also extends support beyond business analysis and planning and may be involved in the structuring and negotiation of deals to achieve final deal closure.
Performs low to medium scope projects with considerable independence, or as part of a team on larger
projects. Work direction is always available as required. Directs the work of lower classified employees as
well as qualified experienced professionals as may be required in some situations.
Key Responsibilities
You will be required to perform the following:
Perform screening of low to moderately complex business proposals using pre-defined filtering criteria, researches relevant intelligence to support proposal screening and estimate effort and resources required for pursuing pre-feasibility/Concept paper development of qualified proposals.
Supports pre-feasibility and feasibility studies to establish technical, financial and marketing viability of new ventures and supports estimation of effort and resources required for conducting feasibility studies and business planning of approved Concepts.
Writes Concept Papers that establish a high-level case for further developing moderately complex business ventures.
Provides functional expertise to design the capabilities required by the new venture to succeed, e.g. product development, sales and marketing, logistics, customer care.
Formulates economic/financial models for complex business proposals and present results of
Concept Paper and/or business plans to management as directed by the Supervisor.
Evaluates business opportunities including valuation techniques and methodologies, defining scope of due diligence required and coordinating due diligence activities; presenting results of valuation and due diligence activities, supports development of business offerings packages to potential investors, coordinates development of commercial agreements and Reviews legal documents.
Supports negotiation of agreements based on developed strategy , manage business portfolio, Screen potential investors and Perform other miscellaneous duties as directed.
Minimum Requirements
As the successful candidate you will hold a Bachelors degree in Business and Management / Engineering from a recognized and approved program. A Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred.
You will have nine years of experience in Industry.
It is preferred that you have Industry expertise of knowledge of specific venturing activities such as commercialization, spin-offs or joint venturing, project development, financial valuations and modeling, facilities planning, strategy development or relevant experience.
you should have Adequate understanding of financial analysis of companies and valuation methodologies; commercial principals of a transaction; different types of transactions.
You must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
You must have English Language skills with full professional proficiency.
