Managing Engineering Operationsand BudgetsWorks with property and regionalengineering leadership team to determine how Engineering isperforming against budget and highlights areas of concern toleadership.Manages the physical plantincluding equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatmentand electrical systems in accordance with Standard OperatingProcedures.Administers service contracts tosupport property needs.Ensures fire crew hascomplete understanding of all procedures, equipment andalarms.Coaches and supports engineeringleadership team to effectively manage controllable expenses (e.g.,wages, heat, light and power, water consumption, tools andequipment, grounds keeping supplies, uniforms, vendors, serviceagreements, inventory, etc.).Manages andcontrols heat, light and power.Develops anengineering operating strategy that is aligned with theproperty/brand s business strategy.Developsand manages Engineering budget.Ensuresintegration of departmental goals in gameplans.Oversees execution of long termpreventative maintenance and 10 year asset protectionplans.Reviews financial reports and statementsto determine how Engineering is performing againstbudget.Addresses potential areas of concernand proposing solutions to owners in a proactivemanner.Communicates a clear and consistentmessage regarding departmental goals to produce desiredresults.Supervises construction to ensuretimely completion of projects within budgetaryguidelines.Maintaining EngineeringStandardsEnsures compliance with state, localand federal regulations.Maintains propertylife safety systems (e.g., fire fighting equipment, sprinklersystems, and alarm systems).Ensures buildingand equipment licenses, permits and certifications arecurrent.Ensures property policies areadministered fairly and consistently.ManagingProfitability
