You'll make an impact by: ContractManagement: Oversee allaspects of contract management for the cybersecurity project. Draft, review,and negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensurecompliance with contractual obligations, deadlines, and regulations. Mitigate contractualrisks and disputes effectively. Utilizeexpertise in construction contracts within the Oil and Gas industry. Advise andsupport project management personnel in contractual and commercial matters,representing Siemens' interests. Identifyopportunities for margin improvement and recovery with customers andcontractors. Ensurealignment of claim strategies across sites and projects. Collaboratewith the legal department on legal matters. Maintain strongverbal and written communication skills. Effectivelycommunicate with internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners. Manage customerexpectations and maintain positive relationships. Foster acollaborative and proactive approach among all project stakeholders. RiskManagement: Develop andimplement risk management strategies and processes for the project. Conduct riskassessments to identify potential threats or vulnerabilities. Facilitate riskmanagement workshops and lead mitigation efforts independently. Monitor andreport on the status of project risks to stakeholders. In addition,the following shall be specific tasks: Preparesand maintains a claim register. Preparesand reviews claims and contractual correspondence as well as documentation forsubstantiation and defense of claims. Develops,documents and updates claim and claim defense strategies. Assessesand quantifies risks and opportunities resulting from claims. Preparesand implements, in collaboration with the Lead Project Controls Engineer,procedures and reporting requirements in regard to scope of works, progress,productivity, time schedule, costs-to-date, costs-to-complete andchange-to-the-works orders Regularcommunicates observations and recommendations to Project Directors andmanagement for continuous improvement. Your success is grounded in; Education and Certifications: Adequateeducation in LLB or LLM, preferably BSc or MSc education. Bachelor'sdegree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or equivalent. MBA is an advantage. Professional Experience: Provenexperience in construction contracts within the Oil and Gas industry withprevious work experience in Middle East region, mainly in Qatar, UAE, SaudiArabia, or Oman, and familiar with contracts & claim management processeswith Oil and Gas companies or end-users. Familiaritywith EPC brownfield projects. Demonstratedexpertise in project contract management. Demonstratedexpertise in project risk management. > 10 yearsprofessional experience on large EPC project > 4 yearsprofessional experience as site contract manager of large or medium size EPCprojects > 2 yearsprofessional experience on sites in Middle East: preferred Qatar, then UAE,Saudi Arabia, or Oman. > 3 years professional experience in execution of time & material contracts of > 5M USD volume. KeySkills and knowledge: Contract Management: Expertise in drafting, negotiating, andensuring compliance with contracts. Risk Assessment: Ability to identify, analyze, and mitigaterisks associated with contracts and projects. Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure favorableterms while maintaining relationships. Legal Knowledge: Understanding of relevant laws,regulations, and industry standards. Financial Acumen: Skill in assessing financial implicationsand conducting cost-benefit analysis. Communication: Clear and effective communication withstakeholders, both verbally and in writing. Problem-Solving: Ability to address contract-related issuesand risks proactively. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities for contractand risk evaluation. Project Management: Integration of contract and riskmanagement into project planning and execution. Attention to Detail: Thoroughness in reviewing contracts andrisk assessments. Conflict Resolution: Skill in managing conflicts related tocontracts and risks. Compliance Management: Ensuring adherence to contractualobligations and regulatory standards. Strategic Thinking: Development and implementation oflong-term management strategies. Stakeholder Management: Building and maintaining positiverelationships with stakeholders.
