Day-to-day operations:
- Maintenance fault diagnosis and repair, including systematic strip down and re-building of mechanical equipment and components relating to, but not limited to, cranes, winches, pumps, compressors, valves, machine tools, and other similar plants.
- Ensure spare parts are procured in advance to reduce downtime.
- Installation of mechanical plants and equipment.
- Maintain good working relationships with workers, appointed foremen, supervisors, and management.
- Perform duties of a Foreman as required or appointed for individual projects.
- Ensure materials meet required standards prior to use, reporting damages when necessary.
- Work within allocated timescales to meet department targets.
- Attend any training required by the department.
- Maintain good housekeeping in all work areas.
- Follow day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure continuity of work.
