We are looking for an experienced Senior Agile / Digital Business Analyst for a leading IT consulting client in Sydney. Our client is a dynamic and growing consulting firm with a focus on delivering innovative digital solutions to leading banks, ASX-listed companies, and government agencies.This is a dual role that combines client delivery and internal practice development responsibilities.The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating the software development lifecycle and ensuring that the business requirements are met. This includes writing user stories, EPICs, features, and test plans.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the requirements gathering process by facilitating workshops and meetings with business stakeholders to identify and document business requirements.Create user stories, EPICs, features, and acceptance criteria that capture the business requirements and align with the product vision and strategy.Collaborate with the development team to ensure that the user stories are clear, concise, and actionable.Create and maintain product backlog, prioritize user stories and manage the scope of the product.Ensure that the product backlog is always up-to-date and reflects the current state of the product.Work closely with the QA team to create test plans and ensure that the acceptance criteria are met during testing.Provide guidance and mentorship to junior Business Analysts and ensure that they are adhering to best practices and processes.Act as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the development team and ensure that there is clear communication and understanding between the two parties.Ensure that the Agile framework is being followed, and any issues or impediments are being addressed.Continuously monitor and evaluate the product's performance against the key performance indicators (KPIs) and recommend improvements.This is a leadership role which would involve supporting practice development, including training and development of junior teams, providing leadership and oversight, and supporting business activities.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or similar role.Strong experience in Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean.Experience in writing user stories, EPICs, features, and test plans.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle and processes.Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, UX/UI, and product owners.Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.Experience in mentoring junior Business Analysts is a plus.Knowledge of Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Trello is a plus.BenefitsWe offer a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for growth and development within the company.
